- Lighting design for both interior and overall site.
- Fire alarm design.
- Electrical provisions for HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Produce electrical specifications.
- Work closely with other engineers, architects, and project managers.
- Understanding of NEC and other building codes at various locations throughout the US.
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Concentration
- 5+ years experience working as an electrical engineer.
- Self-sufficiency in providing complete and total electrical design with support as needed.
- Experience in the Design/Build industry beneficial but not required.
- Registered Professional Engineer with Tennessee P.E. license or ability to obtain license.
- Experience with Revit for electrical drawing production.
- Familiarity with computer programs such as Visual Lighting, AGI, EDR, and AutoCAD a plus.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Motivation to succeed, seek excellence, and continually improve.
- Willing to travel to construction sites for inspections, punch lists, or meetings.
- Communicate in person, on the phone, and over e-mail with clients, vendors, contractors, and others as necessary.
