ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
- Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
- Performs receiving and inprocess laboratory testing to support manufacturing protocols.
- Accurately reads and interprets test data required to comply with product specifications.
- Perform appropriate physical test on products and records data on manual or computerized system.
- Follows standard operating procedures of lab functions and equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance on testing equipment
- Ensures product is tested and approved per specification; informs management of nonconforming materials or products.
- Completes lab test reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
- Entry level or 1 or more years of quality experience and/or training in a regulated industry with 3 years of related lab technician experience preferred; previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred; background in fasteners or similar industry preferred; knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements preferred
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); preferred.
- Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
- Able to effectively operate laboratory equipment requiring precise adjustment of controls for valid results.
- Able to follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitor gauges, instruments, or processes; concentrate on routine work details
- Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
- Must be able to work a 2nd shift schedule general schedule of Monday-Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 PM and overtime as needed, including weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
- Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close, Distance, Peripheral, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus
- Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
