    Position Summary

    GEICO Exchange Hub Platform Team is seeking a very experienced Product/Program Manager with a passion for managing complex programs across multiple departments and teams. You will be the key to drive teams of engineers with a deep focus on delivering enterprise-wide products. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.

    Position Description

    The Senior Staff Engineering Operations is a key member of the team working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain high standards. The team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and leading implementations within the Technology domain. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in applying project management skills and strong business knowledge while collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders at different levels to ensure timely delivery of impactful projects.

    Position Responsibilities ​​

  • Partner with the Product Manager to define the implementation strategy and engineering requirements.
  • Manage Tech implementation and rollouts End to End (Requirements gathering stage to sunset)
  • Interface with 3rd party vendors, internal engineering teams to estimate work efforts, define breakthroughs and manage resources.
  • Track Engineering progress, resolve dependencies, assess risks, and communicate status and issues to leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Engage and energize the project teams to achieve aggressive and challenging goals.
  • Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress.
  • Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams and balance the priorities.
  • Prepare and coordinate updates to leadership across the organization
  • Advise external teams on the feasibility of enhancements
  • Develop an end-to-end rollout plan for new products and enhancements, and manage Product/ feature launches
  • Manage post-launch support and advocate key insights from the business to Tech for product improvements

    • Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience managing large-scale projects (or software engineering) and software product delivery experience
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on tight deadlines
  • Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and software development schedules
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Experience solving problems leveraging data driven decision making
  • Proven experience developing and leading multi-team programs and initiatives Excellent (English) communication and analytical skills
  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams
  • Experience in system design
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience

    Annual Salary

    $120, $261,500.00

    The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
