Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in related field observation testing service or experience in the field on construction sites.
- Experience performing routine laboratory soil tests or experience working in a laboratory measuring, testing, etc.
- Technician Certification
- Radiation safety for nuclear density gauge.
- Construction or geotechnical field or lab experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a high school diploma/GED.
- A valid California driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Ability to work outside in different weather conditions.
- Ability to drive safely in varying weather and road conditions.
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds a minimum of one time a day.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail.
Typical lab duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Inventory soil samples recovered from site exploration.
- Conduct laboratory tests on soil samples to determine basic engineering properties.
- Maintain laboratory and field equipment.
Typical field duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Monitor fill placement operations and perform compaction testing during earthwork operations.
- Observe and document foundation excavation and foundation pier drilling work.
- Prepare written Daily Field Reports and take site photos.
- Meet regularly with Project Engineers about status of related projects; verbal updates on job progress and concerns, promoting open, twoway exchange of information and ideas.
- Prepare projectrelated letters under supervision and direction of Project Engineers.

$ $35.00 per hour
