    Job Title:
    Journeyman Electrician (FBI-CRC)

    Job Summary:

    EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Journeyman Electrician at our General Services Administration (GSA) Operations, Maintenance, Custodial and Related Services FBI Central Records Complex (CRC) contract in Winchester, VA.Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.

    Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand-tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

    Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
    Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.

    Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using the proper test equipment, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

    Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses with other maintenance workers to diagnose malfunction.
    Replaces faulty electrical components, such as relays, switches, breakers, motor starters and positions sensing devices.

    Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, to include circuit boards, but not limited to, using electronic test equipment and hand-tools.

    Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
    May plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
    May diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
    Perform other tasks as directed by his supervisor.


    Qualifications:
    Must possess an active TOP SECRET Security Clearance, or eligibility to obtain.

    Must possess a current journeyman electrician license or meet the qualification requirements of the American National Standards Institute/International Electrical Testing Association ETT-2015, Standard for Certification of Electrical Testing Technicians and hold at least a Level 3 or 4.A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or government facilities preferred.


    Physical Demands:
    Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 75 lbs.)Prolong, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
    Push/pull or move/lift equipment, supplies.
    Manual dexterity and mobility.
    Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
