Job Summary:
The Vice President of Construction is a pivotal leadership role within our organization, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Commercial construction projects.
This role requires a strong blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and team leadership to drive successful project execution.The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Additionally, exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and motivate teams are essential for success in this role.Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans for the construction department in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform construction strategy and decision-making.
Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of construction operations.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Mitigate project risks and address issues that may arise during construction, ensuring timely resolution.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a high-performing construction team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the construction team.
Stakeholder Management:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Address stakeholder concerns and proactively manage expectations to maintain positive relationships.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards governing construction activities.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
