Position Purpose:


At
Saint Mary's Hospital, the Pre/Post Surgery Registered Nurse RN in the
Same Day Surgery Center delivers patient care for same-day surgeries.


What you will do:


  • A fastpaced unit that prepares patients for surgery provides education and follows universal protocol. The nurse RN will also provide phase 2 assessment, teaching, and discharge instructions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse RN Licensure:Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.

Experience:A minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an Inpatient Acute Setting is required. Telemetry or step-down experience is preferred.

BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
-
Certifications:ACLS certification** is preferred or should be within six months of hire.


Position Highlights and Benefits:

Full-Time - 32 hours/week - Day Shift.

  • Monday thru Friday, no weekend or holiday commitment.
  • Hours are 8:00 am thru 8:30 pm.

_ Experienced Nurses with one (1) or more years of expertise receive additional hourly specialty pay, enhancing the base pay compensation._
