JOB SUMMARY:
CFSB is seeking an experienced Director of Compliance Data Governance and Reporting.
The individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework and ensuring accurate and timely compliance reporting, with a specific focus on managing compliance data from third parties.
This position plays a critical role in enhancing the organization's third-party data management practices, improving data quality, and providing insightful reports to support compliance decision-making and board of director reporting requirements.
***:Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute data governance and reporting strategy that aligns with business goals and growth plans.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement efforts to meet evolving demands.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive thirdparty data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards for compliance data management, quality, and security.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including IT, Operations, and Risk Management, to ensure the effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of the thirdparty data governance framework.
- Establish and maintain a thirdparty data inventory and data lineage documentation to ensure a clear understanding of data sources, flows, and dependencies.
- Develop and implement data quality management processes for thirdparty data required for compliance, including data profiling, cleansing, and validation.
- Monitor and assess the ongoing quality and reliability of thirdparty data required for compliance, conducting regular testing and assessments to identify potential issues or risks.
- Identify and prioritize thirdparty data requirements for regulatory reporting and internal compliance monitoring.
- Monitor and analyze compliance reporting metrics related to thirdparty data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Design and implement automated compliance reporting processes, leveraging data visualization and business intelligence tools to provide accurate and timely insights.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to identify and prioritize data requirements for internal compliance monitoring, and the development of KRIs and KPIs.
- Maintain a comprehensive set of KRIs and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of compliance programs, identify potential risks, and measure performance against established goals.
- Provide training and guidance to relevant stakeholders on thirdparty data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends related to thirdparty data management and reporting and adapt the data governance framework accordingly.
- Lead and mentor a team of data governance and reporting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and datadriven decisionmaking, leading to a high performing and effective team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for growth and advancement.
- Ensure that team members are adequately trained and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities appropriately, ensuring an equitable distribution of workload and opportunities for team members to take on new challenges.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Indepth knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management practices, and data security principles.
- Strong understanding of compliance regulations, reporting requirements, and performance monitoring practices, particularly in the financial services industry.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead crossfunctional teams and drive data governance initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake or QlikView.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management, regulators, and crossfunctional teams.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and inspire a highperforming data governance and reporting team.
Education, Training, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and monitoring KRIs and KPIs for compliance programs.
Salary Range:
$160,000-$170,000/annum
