Your Role and Responsibilities

The Storage Software Sales Leader's responsibilities start with the development and execution of a territory growth plan for Focus Storage solutions including IBM Defender, Storage Scale and Fusion.

Leveraging leadership skills, the Storage Software Sales leader will leverage business acumen to understand the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape, leading an extended team to compete in the territory.

Responsibilities include close collaboration with IBM Software and Services teams to define, design, and detail the aspects and feasibility of proposed integrated solutions, working with the extended technical team to deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), and support critical situations, actively engage with clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven cognitive and cloud technology solutions

Demonstrated level of business acumen as it applies to the client's business and working with business partners to execute solutions.

Skilled in provocative consultative selling, with an understanding of the client's needs and IBM capabilities

Commercially minded and capable of supporting end-to-end sales engagements with the ability to think, plan and act strategically

Extensive networking and interpersonal skills in complex environments

Self-starter with eagerness to seek and build new skills

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Multiple years of experience in IT Sales
Multiple years of experience selling storage solutions
Experience in business development inside and outside of IT departments across a wide range of storage environments/
Basic knowledge of IBM (Defender, Storage Scale, COS etc) and competitive storage products

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Multiple years of experience selling storage hardware and software solutions
In depth knowledge of IBM (Defender, Storage Scale, COS etc) and competitive storage products
Experience in business development outside of IT selling HPC, Resiliency and / or AI solutions.
