Responsibilities:


  • Plans, develops and modifies programs to control CNC machines.
  • Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data in order to calculate dimensions, tool selections, machine speeds and feed rates.
  • Selects program routines for the most efficient computer calculation of dimensional and machining requirements.
  • Observe machines on trial runs and makes adjustments or provide solutions for machining efficiency.
  • Able to setup and operate manual and CNC milling, lathes, and OD-ID grinders with mínimal supervision.
  • Support operators to meet production deadlines by providing input manufacturing schedules and procedures.
  • Able to instruct and train on machining setups and operating principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions to resolve machining concerns.
  • Familiarity with the use of a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Able to make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds; measures, marks and scribes' dimensions and reference points.
  • Able to setup and use all standard measuring instruments.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by utilizing proper PPE
  • Contribute to the team effort by maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma, or equivalent. Technical or vocational training desired.
years operating various types of both manual and CNC machines


Machine types include:
lathes, mills, and grinding machines

  • 5+ years with CNC programming experience in Master Cam and CIMCO for 4 and 5 axis machines.
  • Manual G code and post processing experience is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Work requires the ability to understand and follow instructions, the ability to concentrate and the ability to work as part of a team and get along with others.
  • This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills in addition to attention to detail.
  • Ability to create programs from operation sheets created in CREO Cad System
