Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of weekly payroll processing for 1,100+ employees in a multi-state environment and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Essential Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities:

Lead and collaborate with a payroll specialist to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
Review and approve payroll data, including hours worked, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and wage garnishments.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant government agencies.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to payroll processes.
Collaborate with HR and finance departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Review and reconcile payroll reports, addressing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders as needed.
Approve special checks and execute expedited processing outside the standard weekly payroll processing schedule.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in ADP Workforce Now is required.
Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements. Multi-state processing experience is a plus, especially experience with California.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
