Position Overview:


The Student Services Liaison functions under the direct supervision of the Academic and Program Coordinator, with continuous and direct communication with the Nursing Administrative team and faculty.

The Student Services Liaison plays a pivotal role in facilitating student support services during the enrollment and clinical onboarding periods.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.


Essential Responsibilities:

Student Liaison

  • Assists with the daytoday operations of assigned area as designated by the Admissions and Program Coordinator in support of United University of Nursing, including office functions and processes.
  • Works alongside the Admissions and Program Coordinator to retain connections with alumni and assists with job placement when applicable.
Clinical Placement Coordination

  • Collaborate with faculty members, the clinical coordinator, and clinical sites to arrange student placements.
  • Work with the Clinical Coordinator to identify suitable clinical facilities based on program criteria and availability.
  • Communicate with clinical site contacts to secure placement slots and negotiate agreements under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator.
  • Submit requests for placement with contracted clinical facilities within specified timeframes.
  • Track and manage timelines for each clinical site, including submission requests and their respective requirements.
Facility Compliance

  • Remain informed of each clinical facility's policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with clinical site contacts to stay updated on any changes or updates to facility requirements.
  • Ensure students complete all necessary paperwork and meet documentation requirements for each clinical site.
  • Provide students with a checklist of required documentation before each clinical rotation.
  • Oversee and manage the Complio system, ensuring all students are compliant with required documentation and immunization records.
  • Coordinate with clinical sites to ensure alignment with their specific Complio requirements and facilitate the submission of necessary documents.
  • Review student paperwork for accuracy and completeness, and assist students in resolving any discrepancies or missing documentation.
Documentation and Recordkeeping

  • Maintain accurate records of student enrollment and onboarding records, clinical placements, paperwork submissions, and compliance status for each clinical site.
  • Securely store and organize student documentation by clinical rotation for easy access and retrieval.
  • Generate reports as needed to track student compliance, placement status, and outstanding issues.
  • Manage filesharing systems to ensure all relevant affiliates have access to necessary documents, including enrollment forms, Complio files, and attestations.
  • Assist the Clinical Coordinator in confirming all clinical shifts with facilities and managing the clinical schedule and logistics.
  • Facilitate communications and updates with all faculty and clinical instructors, ensuring they have the necessary information and support for their roles.
Communication and Collaboration

  • Serve as the main point of contact for students, faculty, and clinical site contacts regarding placementrelated matters.
  • Establish regular communication channels with faculty and clinical coordinator to facilitate coordination and address concerns.
  • Build positive relationships with clinical site contacts to ensure professionalism, responsiveness, and effective communication.
Additional Duties

  • Take direction from the Clinical Placement Coordinator and provide support to the Admissions and Program Coordinator.
  • Assist with the onboarding and training of new clinical instructors, including preparing paperwork, assembling clinical binders, and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Coordinate with the Department of Clinical Instruction (DCI) to integrate relevant instructors into Canvas courses and provide necessary support and resources.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Education: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade with some collegelevel coursework from an accredited college or university in business administration or a related field.
