- Accurately perform diagnostic exams of patient as requested by provider using proper imaging techniques.
- Provide proper education of procedure to patients, their family, and others as needed.
- Employ proper radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Practice sterile techniques and prevent cross-contamination to patients.
- Perform quality control activities on imaging equipment to ensure optimum image quality.
- Verify that an annual and successful inspection is performed by a Radiation Physicist.
- Perform phlebotomy duties and process/package specimens according to protocols.
- Collect and prepare specimens for point of care testing.
- Record and document laboratory results for each performed test. Retain records for the required length of time in a secure location.
- Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and work area according to policy and procedure.
- Perform quality controls within laboratory using standard laboratory test and measurement controls.
- Graduate of an accredited program for Radiology Technologists.
- Must maintain ARRT registration and have current license to perform radiologic procedures.
- Previous expeirence with phlebotomy and/or specimen collection & processing preferred.
