    Description

    Job Description:

    Responsibilities:
    Support the conceptual design of structures, platforms, and pipe supports using drafting and 3D design tools.
    Develop structural design criteria for standard and project-specific designs.
    Perform structural analysis for gas turbine enclosures, pipe racks, and pipe supports, including common analysis of piping and structures.
    Design welded and bolted connections.
    Issue structural drawings for project-specific applications.
    Review, control, and own structural 3D models.
    Write technical specifications as required.
    Review vendor drawings as necessary.
    Interface with various disciplines at all levels.
    Provide engineering assistance to plant construction.
    Resolve all field interference issues.
    Travel as required.
    Participate in a vendor surveillance program and assist in supplier quality assurance.

    Required:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with a focus on Structural Design.
    5+ years of experience in designing industrial structures and performing structural analysis using computer software.
    5+ years of experience in connection design.
    Experience with structural steel fabrication requirements, material selections, and writing fabrication specifications.
    Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.

    Preferred Experience:
    Experience with Eurocode.
    Familiarity with analysis software such as Bentley STAAD or Risa 3D.
    Experience in designing structures to support piping and equipment for the Power and Process industry.
    Familiarity with Bentley Open Plant.
