    Job DescriptionMerchandise Planner
    LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Merchandise Planner for a full-time job, located in Manhattan, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for those with logistics/inventory experience in the fabric/textile space.
    Responsibilities:
    • Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to forecast future demand for merchandise categories. Develop accurate sales projections to guide inventory procurement and allocation decisions.
    • Determine optimal inventory levels for each product category and location to ensure sufficient stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and markdowns. Implement inventory replenishment strategies to maintain adequate stock levels throughout the selling season.
    • Collaborate with the buying team to develop merchandise assortment plans based on customer preferences, seasonal trends, and sales performance. Identify opportunities to expand product offerings and optimize assortment mix to maximize sales potential.
    • Develop comprehensive merchandise financial plans, including sales, margin, and inventory turnover targets. Monitor performance against plan on a regular basis and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial objectives.
    • Work closely with the allocation team to allocate inventory to individual stores or distribution centers based on sales forecasts, store profiles, and inventory availability. Optimize allocation decisions to ensure the right products are available in the right locations at the right time.
    • Conduct ongoing analysis of sales, inventory, and other key performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree, or related work experience
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office- Excel- Pivot Tables/ Vlook Ups
    Worksite: Onsite
    Employment Type: Full time, Direct Hire
    Salary: $60,000-65,000

    Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
