Description

The Energy Commission seeks an Electric Generation System Program Specialist II (EGSPS II) or I to serve as a key electric vehicle (EV) grid integration expert and project leader within the Fuels and Transportation Division.

The EGSPS I analyzes technology trends, market trends, and regulatory proceedings and develops proposed policies, programs, and projects designed to facilitate the integration of electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging equipment with the electricity grid.

Priorities include promoting interoperability within the electric transportation system, and the development of electric vehicles and their charging equipment as electrical resources.

These activities help electric transportation grow into a more convenient and accessible part of daily life for Californians and a key part of a resilient and carbon-neutral energy system.
