ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Roots to Recovery**Roots to Recovery: A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate, 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills.

There are 14 beds and it is a 90 day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance abuse treatment program.
Clients are referred from intensive treatment programs, emergency room staff and/or detox programs. Clients with co-occurring disorders and on Methadone maintenance are accepted.


ABOUT THE POSITION:
Residential Aide**
Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintains physical environment and program standards to CHR, DMHAS, JCAHO and any other licensing standard.
  • Monitors medications of all residents in accordance with the Adult residential medication policy and procedure.
  • Effectively utilizes appropriate communication methods/tools to transfer information to other staff regarding the day's events.
  • Teaches and assists all residents in areas of rehab including: nutrition and healthy living, meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, banking and budgeting, and basic home care skills.
  • Assists/Manages administrative functions and tasks at the direction of the supervisor
  • Prepares and facilitates educational and skill building groups and one to one interventions as directed by the treatment plan.
  • Collaborates and coordinate care with providers and families as needed.
  • Assists residents in addressing medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
  • Participates in staff meetings, supervision, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
  • Additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred, Associates degree or 2 years of college with minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma (GED) with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience


Experience:
Experience in Human Services with responsible work history.


Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Valid driver's license required with good driving record.

_ _COMPENSATION**:

$18.3818/hr minimum - $27.5727/hr maximum, dependent upon experience

  • Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience, as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or signon incentives. (Please note, for parttime positions this range would be prorated based on hours worked)
