Description

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of property accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance for assigned portfolio

Review revenue and expenses to ensure accuracy on a monthly basis

Facilitate completion of monthly close process

Prepare and review bank reconciliations on a monthly basis

Manage preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements

Manage preparation and analysis of quarterly and annual investor reports

Prepare and review annual budgets and forecasts collaboratively with property management team for reasonableness/accuracy, including escalation calculations

Take lead with transactional closing statements and closing journal entries

Assist in the management of the external audit process

Ensure compliance with GAAP

Establishing and developing standard operating procedures as needed

Assist property management and other external stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis, reporting and supporting schedules as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance,

1-3+ years experience in real estate accounting

Strong attention to detail with good analytical and communication skills

Computer proficiency with strong knowledge of various property management software (Appfolio, Yardi, MRI experience a plus) and Microsoft Office

Effective problem solving skills
