- Fosters persistence and completion by maintaining a caseload of dual enrollment students; utilizes college's early alert retention software as part of this caseload maintenance.
- Monitors progress of students in caseload with check-ins, scheduled meetings or proactive outreach and communication, responding to student questions, concerns and needs. Assists senior dual student with FAFSA completion if continuing at SCC post-graduation.
- Partners with course instructors at the high schools to discuss student performance and identify academic at-risk students.
- Provide information about campus resources and college success strategies.
- Helps students in identifying, developing, and implementing learning strategies and study skills specific to course materials.
- Leads workshops on academic success strategies and any other related areas involving student success.
- Implements Office of Student Success retention and persistence-based initiatives.
- Collaborates with various areas within and outside of Enrollment Management and Student Success to facilitate student success, retention, and persistence.
- Assists with development of goals, objectives, and learning outcomes for the Office of Student Success, in support of the college's strategic plan.
