Description

ColonialWebb is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of medium to large complex manufacturing equipment and associated control systems.

This Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and preventative maintenance (pm) records. The Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians report to the General Manager Manufacturing.

Location: 2820 Ackley Avenue Richmond, VA 23228.


Environment:
Fabrication Shop.

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F.

A day in the life:


  • Ensure adherence to proper departure and arrival procedures throughout the workday
  • Obtain purchase orders and make small purchases required during the performance of work, including maintaining sufficient inventory; conduct inventory of all standard maintenance stock
  • Maintain consistent compliance with company policies and procedures as they relate to proper completion of departmental documentation such as, but not limited to, time cards, work orders, maintenance logs, machine safety sheets, maintenance machine book, and material and equipment return tags
  • Attend periodic meetings with supervisor as required to review work progress and potential problems felt to be beyond his/her ability or authority
  • Work jointly with other maintenance technicians as required
  • Maintain a neat, clean and professional appearance at all times. This applies to the individual as well as his/her tools and equipment as well as customer property

You should have:


  • Five years experience in a maintenance role with machinery and equipment.
  • Hands on experience maintaining coil lines, plasma tables, brakes, robotics, waterjets, and other shop type machinery
  • Experience with improving pm programs a plus
  • Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
  • Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, but remain calm when handling emergencies
  • Possess knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
