- Create, review and revise documentation procedure according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with the development and implementation of the document workflow process.
- Maintain and track documentation for the EHS team.
- Implement document control policies and procedures and perform periodic reviews of project files.
- Create, launch, and run metrics reports for EHS Program Self-Assessments and Inspections in the EHS Management Software (Enablon).
- Apply principles of continuous improvement to documentation processes.
- Provide support and respond to user inquiries.
- Identify essential documentation concerns, and discrepancies and ensure consistent formatting between documents.
- Confirm and track training as it relates to controlled document release processes are completed by required personnel.
- Manage the flow of documents in and out of document storage.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of a training matrix to ensure proper training assignments to staff for all EHS programs and procedures.
- Create and maintain an EHS document control matrix.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in the technology industry
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Dropbox.
- Strong understanding of working in a database environment.
- Team player with a positive can-do attitude, who is flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced company environment.
- Must be highly organized and possess a high degree attention to detail.
- Communication and interpersonal experience for all audience levels. Experience interacting with employees at all levels in a team environment
- Excellent project management skills and ability to juggle numerous workstreams
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a fast-paced business performing document control duties

Document Control Specialist/Technical Writer
Meta Reality Labs is seeking a Document Control Specialist/Technical Writer to create, review and revise Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and documents. This position will work with subject matter experts (SME) to develop EHS procedures, maintain and track documents, and develop and implement a document review and approval workflow. The ideal candidate has strengths in editing, document preparation and control, partnership with SMEs to create technical programs, and the ability to move fast in an everchanging environment. This is a contract position as part of the Meta Reality Labs EHS Team and will report to the Global Health and Safety Manager.
