Summary

The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Vacuum carpets and sweep.
• Dust and mop floors.
• Spot clean floor coverings, walls, doors and window glass.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Empty and reline wastebaskets.
• Clean drinking fountains.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Pick up trash and refuse and deposit in compactor.
• Stock custodial supplies in work areas.
• Assist during emergency situations or hazardous conditions.
• Assist custodians.
• Train housekeepers as needed.
• Perform general set-up work as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months or more of direct experience in Housekeeping OR 1 year or more of related experience
• Valid driver's license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record
• Manual dexterity
• Physical ability to lift and carry safely a minimum of 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year direct experience in Housekeeping
