Job Summary and Qualifications
Role Summary:
Performs various functions relative to the Laboratory testing, to include but not limited to: clerical and computer functions; specimen accessioning and processing, performing a variety of phlebotomy techniques and assisting with other specimen collections and performing specified waived testing as required.
Represents the organization in the inpatient or outpatient setting serving as the liaison between the client (Patient, physicians, nursing, etc.) and the laboratory departments.
What qualifications you will need:
Mission Hospital McDowell is a community hospital with 25+ beds, including five labor and delivery suites, serving McDowell County.
Located in Marion, North Carolina, we offer many specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, and walk-in, non-emergency care at Mission My Care Now McDowell.
Five of Mission Hospital McDowell's primary care practices have been recognized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as Rural Health Clinics.
We have received many awards, which include Leapfrog Group Best Performer for pediatric head and pediatric body CT imaging, and an A grade for Patient Safety.
