Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (
LPN) to join our healthcare team in Morley, NY.
LPN, you will provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patient health, administering medications, providing wound care, and assisting with diagnostic tests. Excellent communication skills and a strong dedication to patient care are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform routine nursing tasks, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any significant changes to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families on various health conditions, treatments, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Prepare and operate medical equipment and assist with the implementation of medical/nursing interventions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and stay updated with the latest nursing techniques, procedures, and technology.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid
LPN license in the state of New York. - Completion of an accredited
LPN program. - Proven experience as an
LPN in a clinical setting is preferred but not required. - Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassionate and caring nature, with a commitment to delivering highquality patient care.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to use electronic medical records systems.
