A financial firm is looking for a Security Engineerto join their team in Jersey City, NJ.
Pay:

Responsibilities:
Administration and monitoring of various security systems
Engage in engineering and execution of diverse security projects, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with long-term objectives
Introduce best practices and principles to enable consistent delivery and enable alignment with long-term direction
Work with business units and corporate partners to ensure solutions are built-in consistent with the organization's policies, programs, architectural recommendations, and information security standards; Develop and manage comprehensive Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies
Understand common types of cyber-attacks and countermeasures in the industry and engage with the business units to resolve within SLAs
Collaborate with various business units to fortify network infrastructure security and resilience
Develop, and manage data security standards and operational processes specifically for the AWS platform and cloud resources
Create and maintain technical process documentation for security systems/processes
Develop, build, and implement a mature and robust set of metrics and reports
Qualifications:
7+ years of technical experience in information technology or information security field
Expertise in security systems engineering, network, data protection, and cryptography
Experience in implementing and managing DLP solutions
Experience with next generation firewalls such as PaloAlto, and Checkpoint
Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms (Splunk, ELK)
Experience in securing AWS and Azure cloud services
Proficient in scripting with Python and PowerShell
Understanding of various security domains, compliance requirements, risk management practices, security industry standards (NIST, CIS etc.)
Project management capabilities with skills to prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable
