    Description

    A financial firm is looking for a Security Engineer to join their team in Jersey City, NJ.

    Pay: $ /day

    Responsibilities:

    • Administration and monitoring of various security systems
    • Engage in engineering and execution of diverse security projects, ensuring high-quality delivery in line with long-term objectives
    • Introduce best practices and principles to enable consistent delivery and enable alignment with long-term direction
    • Work with business units and corporate partners to ensure solutions are built-in consistent with the organization's policies, programs, architectural recommendations, and information security standards; Develop and manage comprehensive Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies
    • Understand common types of cyber-attacks and countermeasures in the industry and engage with the business units to resolve within SLAs
    • Collaborate with various business units to fortify network infrastructure security and resilience
    • Develop, and manage data security standards and operational processes specifically for the AWS platform and cloud resources
    • Create and maintain technical process documentation for security systems/processes
    • Develop, build, and implement a mature and robust set of metrics and reports
    Qualifications:
    • 7+ years of technical experience in information technology or information security field
    • Expertise in security systems engineering, network, data protection, and cryptography
    • Experience in implementing and managing DLP solutions
    • Experience with next generation firewalls such as PaloAlto, and Checkpoint
    • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms (Splunk, ELK)
    • Experience in securing AWS and Azure cloud services
    • Proficient in scripting with Python and PowerShell
    • Understanding of various security domains, compliance requirements, risk management practices, security industry standards (NIST, CIS etc.)
    • Project management capabilities with skills to prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines
    • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar are highly desirable
