Production Operator - Lyndhurst, United States - Polyurethane Specialties Company

Description

We are a chemical plant looking to direct hire experienced Production Operators on fulltime basis, to work in our production department to manufacture batch chemicals.

• Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner and in accordance with cGMP.
• Safely operate and monitor chemical process equipment in area of responsibility.
• Maintain batch sheets, spreadsheets, control charts, and other documentation.
• Monitor process using GUI.
• Provide clear communication at shift change.
• Assist coworkers as needed and as directed by Shift lead/supervisor
• Material movements (drums, forklift, etc.)
• Coordinate activities with maintenance, including preparing equipment for repairs.
• Follow production, safety and quality procedures to verify and record information.
• Understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling and product testing.
• Troubleshoot process & equipment problems, automation program, and support the teams.
• Recognize problems and unusual events and communicate to Shift Leader.
• Proactively recommend changes to Batch Sheets and SOPs.
• Ensure understanding of all safety, quality, housekeeping, and operational procedures, in order to utilize tools, equipment, electronic/computer systems.
• Ensure safe operation of forklift, drum handling equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned.
