May 10, 202- Complete operational and safety procedures and chemical handling practices in a safe and efficient manner.

• Perform assigned treatment plant rounds, inspecting, monitoring, and documenting plant operations by reading plant equipment gauges, dials, graphs, and other instrumentation.
• Operate and adjust treatment plant pumps, motors, feeders, and other equipment to maintain appropriate plant operations.
• Maintain, compile, and update plant operations logs and reports; perform and record mathematical calculations related to plant operational activities.
• Collect water samples and perform a variety of routine water quality laboratory tests; work closely with the laboratory on testing processes.
• Perform general plant facility maintenance, including membrane replacement and reservoir cleaning; perform filter maintenance, media replacement, and chemical treatment or CIPs and perform routine facility repairs as required.
• Follow District policies & procedures, as well as regulations pertinent to the end uses of treated water. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

The right person for this role will possess the following credentials:

• 
  Advanced Water Treatment Operator II _
• High School graduation or Equivalent.
• Two 3unit (or 36hour) Courses of Specialized Training that include at least one course in drinking water treatment and a second course in either drinking water treatment, distribution, or wastewater treatment.
• One (1) year of operator experience working as a certified Treatment2 operator at a treatment facility, within a production system or as a distribution operator.
• Possession of a Class-C CA Driver's License, CPR/AED+, Treatment Grade 2 certification, and Distribution Grade 2 certification is required. Advanced Water Treatment Grade 3 is desirable.

Advanced Water Treatment Operator III_

• High School graduation or Equivalent
• Three 3unit (or 36hour) Courses of Specialized Training that include at least two courses in drinking water treatment and one additional course in either drinking water treatment, distribution, or wastewater treatment.
• Two (2) years of operator experience working as a shift or chief operator while as a certified T3 operator at a T3 facility or higher.
• One (1) year of operator experience may be substituted in accordance with the SWRCB.
• Experience with one or more AWT processes is highly desired.
• Possession of a Class-C CA Driver's License, CPR/AED+, Treatment Grade 3 certification, and Distribution Grade 3 certification. Advanced Water Treatment Grade 3 is desirable.
