Arizona State University's Fraternity & Sorority Life seeks a Greek Leadership Village Community Director to lead the vibrant community nestled within the Tempe Campus.

As part of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life, you'll support over 5,000 students and 60+ chapters across five governing councils.


  • The Greek Leadership Community Center & Village, born from a studentled project, symbolizes ASU's commitment to excellence and social impact. It's a versatile space offering meeting rooms, council offices, and housing facilities, fostering the leadership and development of ASU's fraternity and sorority members.
  • The Community Director is a livein position that will manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with guidelines and fostering an inclusive environment conducive to academic and social growth. Collaboration with University Housing is vital to shape a collective vision for student experience. With oversight of 951 students and a team of 10+ student staff, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping ASU's fraternity and sorority community.

Essential Duties

Greek Leadership Village Administration

  • Along with associate and assistant director provide oncall (24 hours) emergency support to the fraternity and sorority community including the Greek Leadership Village in a live on capacity
  • Assist associate director in developing strategy and process to ensure that each chapter house is filled to their respective capacity and track accurate data and information regarding residents
  • Implement programs and services in support of the strategic goals and objectives of Educational Outreach and Student Services, the academic college(s), and university housing
  • Develop working relationships with key stakeholders and departments on and off campus including: ASUPD, Tempe PD, Dean of Students Office, University Housing, New Family and Student Programs and many more
  • Supervise staff including hiring, coaching/developing, evaluating and implementing corrective/disciplinary actions if required
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing procedures to assure safety and building security for residents
  • Coordinate and implement response to crisis situations within residential communities in collaboration with the appropriate partners, such as Student Rights & Responsibilities, ASU Counseling, ASU Police, Dean of Students office, and more
  • Administer student conduct processes by working with a liaison from Student Rights & Responsibilities to train professional and student staff members, review incident reports, adjudicate high level conduct cases that involve removal from oncampus housing, and assist with Title IX investigations
  • Support fraternity and sorority wide initiatives both inside and outside of the Greek Leadership Village

Facilities Management

  • Support Greek Leadership Village Assistants (student staff) in their roles of building manager; encourage prompt attention to facilities related issues/concerns and proficient use of submitting TMA reports
  • Consult with American Campus Communities Facility staff to ensure reasonable and timely followup on maintenance and building work requests
  • Track maintenance requests, billing, repairs to ensure accuracy and timely response
  • Advocate for chapter facilities enhancements that promote the holistic development of students; work with staff to determine appropriate needs and improvements
  • Assist in the management and supervision of summer operations including turnover of residents living in the facility
  • Participate in hall opening and hall closing planning processes according to scheduled building usage

Fraternity & Sorority Life/Student Connection & Community

  • Participate as an actively engaged member of the fraternity and sorority life and student connection and community teams
  • Assist in building affinity and support of ASU through spirit, pride, and traditions through university wide programs and initiatives
  • Advise a portfolio of chapters across five governing councils in chapter operations and strategic planning
  • Assess and evaluate programs and services impacting student success and retention
  • Attend professional and regional student conferences as funding permits
  • Serve on University committees as needed

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND (2) years of experience leading groups; OR, Master's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND six (6) months related supervisory experience OR, Any
