- Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial operations for the monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting close process.
- Support the close process by taking ownership of assigned tasks and managing direct reports within the designated time frame.
- Prepare and enter recurring and manual journal entries into Oracle general ledger. Prepare in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconcile, analyze, and review general ledger accounts and financial statements to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting standards.
- Provide variance analysis to budget and forecast monthly.
- Follow internal controls and procedures as defined by the Business Control Matrix.
- Provide requested supporting documentation and schedules to external auditors for the annual audit within the designated time frame.
- Assist in researching and resolving auditor questions and requests.
- Ad hoc reporting and journal entries (ie. acquisitions or new product lines) as assigned.
- Partner with peers on the team, as well as cross functionally, to achieve company goals.
- Degree in Finance or Accounting required: CPA and Big 4 experience preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience in implementing best practices to drive efficiencies.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Success in working across functional areas with strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of the month end close process.
- Oracle knowledge a plus.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to manage through ambiguity.
- It is essential that the duties of this role be performed on-site at IV Medias facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. This includes responsibility for tasks during month-end/quarter-end/year-end close, the annual audit, and other ad hoc reporting and journal entries.
It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to support the accounting team. A senior accountant in this role will also need 3+ years of accounting experience and an ability to work with department leaders.
