Are you ready to have fun this summer and make a difference working with kids? Every summer, Old Colony YMCA works with hundreds of children in fun and educational summer outdoor day camp programs.

We are looking for you to be a role model and guide campers through activities

About the Role:

Guide and inspire campers aged 414 through exciting and educational outdoor activities.
Summer program runs from June 17th to August 23rd.
Mandatory training days: Branch dependent.
Work schedule: Monday-Friday (no weekends), with shifts from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications:

Minimum age requirement: 18 years old by August 1st.
Uptodate physical and immunizations (Same as required for school).
Strong communication skills: ability to read, write, talk, see, and hear.
Ability to lead ageappropriate games and activities.
Creativity and resourcefulness are highly valued

Requirements:

Must be 18 years old by August 1st, 202
Good interpersonal communication skills
Evidence of physical examination every two years. Certification of good health from a physician
Negative Mantoux TB test. Immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
General knowledge of all camp programs, facilities, fees and policies.
Ability to read, write, talk, see and hear.
Ability to plan and initiate age appropriate games and activities.
Ability to teach and provide leadership.
Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time.
Ability to be creative and resourceful.
Possesses a strong understanding of the YMCA and its purpose, mission and values. Demonstrates this understanding through behavior and actions that support the purpose, mission and values.
