To assist in the day-to-day management of the Kruse Center for the benefit of the members and the college community.

This position is responsible for supervision of member services, cardio/weight room, athletic events, intramural sports, and other recreation activities.

Required Quals Summary

High School diploma or GED. 1 -2 years experience in customer service. Knowledge of Word, Excel and mainframe integrated computer systems


Position Details:


  • Principal Accountabilities
    Principal Accountabilities
  • 1. Monitors activities in the Kruse Center, including coverage of the checkin, front counter with toplevel customer service and ensure a safe workout environment through constant circulation of the fitness room, indoor track, and the playing court.

  • 2. Supervise patrons and enforce facility rules in the Kruse Center. Enforce all building policies and procedures, such as no bags on the floor and proper dress code for all users.

  • 3. Assist with game management of Blinn College home athletic events and provide crisis intervention as needed.

  • 4. Performs opening and closing tasks (locking/unlocking of building, check working order of equipment).

  • 5. Ensure a safe workout environment and make sure all weights are in their proper place.

  • 6. Report any incident of injury, theft, or broken equipment.

  • 7. Be able to answer basic fitness questions and have extensive knowledge of the equipment and proper workout technique.

  • 8. Assist during intramural sport events (open gym, tournaments, etc.) and other recreation activities especially during peak times.

  • 9. Attends all relevant trainings, meetings, workshops, and departmental events.

  • 10. Assist with supervision of student workers in the absence of or when directed by the Director of Student Leadership & Activities or the Coordinator of Campus Recreation.
