About the Role
As an Elementary School Spanish Teacher at Van Avery Prep, you will play a crucial role in our students' linguistic and cultural education.
You will provide dynamic language instruction and provide a foundation of vocabulary, grammar, and cultural appreciation that students will build upon in later grades.
We aim to not only teach language skills, but also instill a deep appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures.Responsibilities Include:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective Spanish lessons
Foster an environment of curiosity, enthusiasm and respect for Spanish-speaking cultures
Collaborate with other faculty and staff to integrate Spanish language learning across academic disciplines
Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians about students' progress
Create and maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or related field from an accredited college or university
Prior teaching experience in Spanish language instruction is highly preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to pass both state and federal background checks
