Smith high school is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and thoughtful individual who can contribute to our school's diversity through their teaching, scholarship, and/or service to the institution.

The Campus Monitor/ Security is responsible for working cooperatively with the school administration to maintain an orderly and safe school building.

Monitor students participating in the school's open campus program and provide direct supervision of students. Responsibilities also include closely monitor building access especially during high traffic times and follow safety procedures for
students, staff and visitors.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred. Military or Law Enforcement experience will be considered.
• Ability to be sworn in as Mansfield Constable to allow of the issuance of parking tickets.
• Demonstrates skills in human relations, communications, problem solving and organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct supervision to students identified by the school administration.
• Monitor the activities of students inside and outside of the building as necessary to insure staff and student safety.
• Monitor the school parking lots as directed and issue parking tickets in coordination with the Director of Building and Grounds.
• Monitor and report building and safety violations and concerns as identified by school safety check list.
• Extended use of technology included but not limited to Identakid visitor management system, PowerSchool, and building security cameras.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the security team to maintain consistent supervision and enforcement of school safety procedures and rules.
• Handle difficult situations diplomatically, and seek assistance from administration when necessary.
• Organize job priorities and make effective use of time in order to adhere to daily security checklist/schedule.
• Assists in establishing policies/procedures and monitoring to ensure that the safety and security programs follow all local, state and federal statutes/mandates and standards.
• Contributes to a positive, collegial, and collaborative culture through interactions with colleagues., parents, students, staff and visitors.

SALARY:
salary is $22.39—$25.93 based on education and experience.
