Our client is looking for an experienced Head of Legal for Germany and Austria to join their team in Poipu. This role holds a prominent position within the organization, providing guidance and support to the legal department and throughout the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing an internal legal team in Germany and working closely with external legal counsel in Germany and Austria.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various business contracts, with a focus on development agreements such as service and commercial agreements, distribution agreements, leases, and construction contracts.
  • Providing legal support to different functions and entities on a wide range of matters, including corporate and competition law, employment law, food law, administrative law, franchise law, and real estate.
  • Ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Representing the company in court, with local government authorities, and regulators.
  • Acting as the company's attorney, executing and formalizing contracts, corporate documents, and other legal instruments.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Completed law studies (second state examination).
  • At least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills for contracts of varying complexity.
  • Experience in employment law.
