    Essential Job Functions:
  • 1. Provides students with information on topics, such as college degree programs, admission requirements, and financial aid opportunities.
  • 2. Responds to correspondence from existing and prospective students, or to follow up on initial contacts thru telephones calls or writes letters.
  • 3. Contacts prospective students to present information and/or explain available programs and services. Communicates with prospects about admission requirements, program offerings, curriculum, and/or basic financial aid information by various means of communication. 6. Coordinates or participates in promotional activities, including conferences, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, or special events to present programs to prospective students.
  • 7. Maintains current knowledge of program requirements, course requirements, and sequencing, and establishes and maintains relationships with program faculty.
  • 8. Tracks and monitors student academic progress for assigned program(s) or cohorts.
  • 9. Reviews, resolves, and communicates decisions regarding extensions of time to complete coursework in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • 10. Counsels students regarding educational issues, such as course and program selection, class scheduling and registration.
  • 11. Reviews degree plans to ensure that students meet graduation requirements. Advises students on continuing graduate education entrance requirements.
  • 12. Provides students with information on topics, such as college degree programs, admission requirements, and financial aid opportunities.
  • 13. Assesses needs for assistance, such as rehabilitation, financial aid, or additional training, and refers students to the appropriate services.
  • 14. Participates in recruitment and enrollment activities.
  • 15. Prepares reports on outreach to students and activities as required by administration.
  • 16. Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations.
  • 17. Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees.
  • 18. Performs other duties as assigned or required

  • Knowledge:
  • 1. Customer and Personal Service Working knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.
  • 2. Psychology Working knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; and learning and motivation.
  • 3. Computers and Electronics Working knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware.
  • 4. General knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)
