JOB DESCRIPTION
Deck Crew are expected to perform each and every duty and obligation with due diligence and to the best of their knowledge, skill, judgment, and ability.
The Deck Crew is expected to devote such amounts of time, energy and skill as may be necessary to perform the duties required hereunder.
Hours are dependent on performance times and include evenings and weekends. Training (an internship) is available to those with an interest, but little or no experience.Deck Crew opportunities, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Move set pieces and props as directed by the Stage Manager and other authorized technical personnel
- Timely attendance at all technical rehearsals and dress rehearsals, performances, and photo calls
- Meeting with theater personnel, the Producer, the Board of Directors and/or others as designated by the Artistic Director
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to pay attention and follow verbal directions
- Has appropriate physical strength/condition to perform physical tasks such as moving scenery and properties
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge / background experience with running crew is a plus, but not required
- Carpentry skills a plus
- Cultural competency. The ability to interact with people of different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds effectively with understanding and tolerance.
REPORTS TO:
The Deck Crew reports directly to the Equity Stage Manager and the Running Crew Lead. Final employment authority is with the Producer and Artistic Director.
COMMITMENT:
This is a non-union position running for the productions _Beautiful _and_ The Prom _(Subject to change). It is a temporary seasonal, part-time hourly position. It is possible to hold this position for more than one production per season. Each production contract is 4 weeks in length.

June 18, 19, 20 -Tech Week: Eight-out-of-Ten hour days
June 2- Director's Circle Preview (First Night)
June 2- Opening
July 1- Closing
COMPENSATION:
Starting at $15/hour, plus 2 comp tickets, bus pass, company doctor support and gym membership. Compensated for overtime. Lodging available upon request. Inquire about Internship Opportunities.
