Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Verify that all invoices have proper approvals and supporting documentation
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs or electronic payments
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with monthend closing activities, including account reconciliations
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Act as a primary contact for office management (supplies, water, equipment, etc)
- Assist with special projects as assigned
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Ability to analyze data and identify errors or discrepancies
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Quicken, Expandable or other ERP system
- Knowledge of tax regulations related to accounts payable
- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma
- Associates degree or 4 year degree preferred
- 3 plus years experience in accounts payable, plus administrative and/or office background
- Manufacturing and/or medical device industry experience
