Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join our team.

As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of medical equipment and instruments.

Your expertise in sterile processing and aseptic techniques will be essential in maintaining a sterile environment.

Duties:

Perform sterilization procedures on medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols
Clean and decontaminate equipment using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques
Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
Assemble instrument sets and ensure proper packaging for sterilization
Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes, including load contents, cycle parameters, and biological indicator results
Follow infection control guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or in a similar role preferred
Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Ability to accurately follow instructions and protocols
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
