Overnight Monitor | Youth Development Specialist

Camp Aspen, 5300 Broad River Rd., Columbia, SC 29212

We are looking for Overnight Monitors | Youth Development Specialists to join our team at Camp Aspen in Columbia, South Carolina. This role involves providing direct care to at-risk adolescents, helping them shape better futures.

Camp Aspen is a residential program that supports juvenile offenders requiring substance abuse education and services. It accommodates up to 30 boys aged 12-19 referred by the South Carolina Department of Justice.

Your life experiences can positively influence at-risk young males, allowing you to serve as a role model and advocate for youth in your community.

Salary:
$15.00 per hour

Shift: 3rd Shift
3rd Shift Hours: 11 pm - 7 am

As an Overnight Monitor | Youth Development Specialist, you will mentor at-risk youth, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Follow program policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and interact with clients to ensure security.
  • Monitor client behavior and intervene when necessary.
  • Conduct group activities and document services provided.

Hiring Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Physical exam for noncommunicable diseases.
  • Minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Background screening and computer proficiency required.
