- Our client is a local non-profit who serve their community to in affordable housing and assisted living and are focused on distribution of their resources in an equitable and inclusive way.
- The Accounting Manager should be someone who feels passionate and motivated by their nonprofit mission and a commitment to racial justice.
- Review accounts weekly and verify accuracy of transactions entered by accounting team
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
- Oversee deposits, including cash, check, and online transfer from multiple sources
- Review bi-weekly payroll for accuracy; assist with discrepancies or other issues
- Prepare monthly journal entries and/or work with accounting team to ensure all journal entries are entered in a timely manner
- Assist as Payroll back-up, as needed.
- 3+ years professional accounting/finance experience including budgeting, financial reporting and full-scope accounting
- Must be an effective communicator who is skilled at building relationships
- A balanced commitment to accountability and flexibility on deliverables
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
