    Workers Comp Claims Examiner - Remote WorkOur client, a large claims administrator, is looking for a Workers Comp. Claims Examiner to work remotely. This position will be working to support the Anchorage, AK office. Position is open to W-2 candidates only. Candidates MUST live in one of the following states: TX, IL, IN or WI Pay rate: $24.50 Per hours. (40 Hours per week)Days worked: Monday - FridayProject length: 6+ Months. If you apply through Monster, please send a separate email to rjepsen[at] with the answers to the following questions in order to be considered for this position:Do you have an Alaska work comp license or a Property & Casualty adjusters license?How many years of claims management experience do you have?Do you live in one of the following states: TX, IL, IN or WIIs $24.50 per hour an acceptable rate for you?Responsibilities:Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult general liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim; manages claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.Assesses liability and resolves claims within evaluation.Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.Calculates and assigns timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.Calculates and pays benefits due; approves and makes timely claim payments and adjustments; and settles clams within designated authority level.Prepares necessary state fillings within statutory limits.Manages the litigation process; ensures timely and cost-effective claims resolution.Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.Uses appropriate cost containment techniques Manages claim recoveries, including but not limited to: subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries and Social Security and Medicare offsets. Experience and Education:Bachelor's degree is Preferred Five (5) years of claims management experience is required. Requirements: Alaska work comp license or a Property & Casualty adjusters license. Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required for this position.
