Senior Revenue Accountant - Magnolia, United States - Commodore Offshore Operating, LLC
Description
The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for recording, analyzing and processing oil and gas related exploration and production revenues, royalties and related expenses. They will also be handle reporting royalties to governmental agencies. This position is in our Woodlands, Texas office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Record Revenue for Offshore GOM properties
Compile source data, record entries, and analyze Revenue accrual vs actuals
Allocate sales to well level based on sales invoices, marketing arrangements, production volumes
Prepare and send invoices for oil, condensate, gas and NGLs each month and reconcile any payment discrepancies
Review ONRR reports before monthly filing
Prepare monthly Cash Forecast related to Revenue and Opex
Perform account reconciliations for assigned accounts
Coordinate with other departments such as Marketing, Operations, Production and Land
Coordinate with 3rd parties in obtaining revenue pricing, volume, and payment discrepancies
Communicate with ONRR concerning royalties and exceptions
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or applicable industry experience required
5 years experience with oil and gas revenue required
Experience with recording oil and gas revenue and distribution of royalties
Familiarity with ONRR
Experience reconciling oil and gas accounts receivable
Excellent organization skills, with ability to achieve priorities and goals with limited supervision
Strong attention to detail; ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy and problem-solving skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting strict deadlines
Manifest flexibility in adapting to changing procedures and governmental regulations
Demonstrate trust and professionalism while performing job duties with ability to work in multi-team environment
Proficient knowledge of computer software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, P2Merrick)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and varied personalities

Located in Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, Texas.
