Job Summary

This position will manage the
University Recreation (UREC
) Open Recreation Program, including the overall operations of the Klotsche Center, Pavilion, Engelmann Gym, and OHOW Center (limited).

In addition, this position will have responsibility for the pre-planning, set-up, coordination, and break-down of UREC, Athletic Department, UW-Milwaukee, and community special events held in the Klotsche Center, Pavilion, and Engelmann Gym.

This is a customer service driven position performing it's work onsite, in-person.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or related field
One year or more of related professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or related field (or progress toward degree)
Professional or Graduate Assistantship experience in recreation or recreational sports
Demonstrated experience managing a recreation or athletic facility
Demonstrated experience planning, staffing and settingup athletic events (basketball, volleyball, track, swimming, etc.) and/or other special events at multiple locations
Demonstrated experience utilizing Fusion facility management software (or similar) and security software
Previous experience as a supervisor to a variety of employee types, including (but not limited to) the following:
students in a higher education environment

- part-time or temporary staff
- full-time professional staff

Target Salary Range $47,000 - $51,000 Benefits and Total Rewards
