Purchasing Coordinator

National Purchasing Director

Purpose of the Role:


As a Purchasing Coordinator at Sunrgy, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations by supporting the procurement process and ensuring efficient purchasing practices.

Reporting directly to the National Purchasing Director, you will assist in managing vendor relationships, coordinating purchasing activities, and optimizing inventory levels to meet operational needs and customer demands


Key Responsibilities:


  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, including communication, negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Generate purchase orders accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.

Contract Negotiation:
Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.

  • Supplier Performance Evaluation: Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing, and provide feedback to improve performance.

Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, contracts, and correspondence with suppliers.

  • Compliance and

Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate procurement risks.

Supplier Identification:
Assist in sourcing new suppliers, conducting supplier evaluations, and qualifying new vendors.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to identify trends, costsaving opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and sales teams, to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with business objectives.


Essential:


  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain principles, and inventory management practices.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software or ERP systems.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
