- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Create and adapt instructional materials to meet the individualized needs of students
- Provide direct instruction to students in a variety of settings, including individual, small group, and inclusion settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid Special Education teaching license or certification in the state of Mississippi
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
