Project Engineer - San Bernardino County, CA

Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Safework specializes in Professional Services for various project types including transportation, education, municipal, and homeland security in the United States.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate between consultants, external agencies, contractors, property owners and other utility services for assigned projects.
Process and review progress payments for contractors.
Coordinate, review and assess contract submittals.
Review and process construction for project design submittals.
Administer contractor's work and ensure compliance with submitted contract documents.
Inspect work sites, monitor project budget and schedule.
Analyze and recommend changes to contracts and prepare necessary amendments in contract documents.
Manage and submit all reviewed contract documents to contract administrators for further approval.
Ensure all contract work follows contract documents.
Prepare project records with details such as field progress, field conditions, and equipment use.

Requirements:

BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field
At least 5 years' experience working in the construction industry.
Must have vertical construction experience.
Must have DSA (Division of State Architect) experience.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Desire to work within a collaborative environment.
A desire to achieve excellence and to grow within a dynamic organization.
Ability to work in a cooperative team environment, with significant client interface.
