Head of Manufacturing for a pharmaceutical company in Berlin

My client is a globally operating and research-based pharmaceutical company in Berlin, specializing in the development of medicines. Due to a vacancy, this position needs to be filled as soon as possible. In a professional and agile team, you will take on the leadership of manufacturing with 5 direct reports and a total of 130 employees for solid dosage forms, reporting to the site management or executive management.

Your responsibilities:

You will be responsible for production, taking into account legal requirements and GMP guidelines. You will ensure that all legal, regulatory, and GMP requirements are established in the manufacturing area and that medicines and other products are produced in a controlled environment to the specified quality. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance of the entire manufacturing environment with legal and regulatory requirements. This includes monitoring maintenance, facilities, and equipment in the manufacturing area. You will also be responsible for approving manufacturing instructions and ensuring compliance with regulations. Other responsibilities include ensuring necessary validations, manufacturing and cleaning procedures, in-process control monitoring, specific quality of medicines, staff training, staff readiness, and the currency of SOPs and work instructions in manufacturing. Your responsibilities will also include leadership, budget management, and strategic direction of the manufacturing area.
