- Assure drawings and layouts are accurate, complete, and finished in a timely manner
- Generation and maintenance of bill of materials and parts lists
- Applying Engineering design techniques and utilize calculations in support of design/experimental activities
- Develop electrical wiring schematics, sub-assembly drawings, and bills of material for control system design
- Researching for component substitutions
- Generate test plans and participate in conducting acceptance tests
- Identify and solve technical engineering problems
- Responsible for product design quality and performance
- Provide or assist in the creation of technical descriptions of operation, equipment checkout procedures, technical reports, user manuals and other documentation as required
- Release components and system designs for manufacture of orders
- Estimate man-hours required for tasks and report progress on assigned tasks
- Provide plans, schedules, and estimates for technical programs, along with project management
- Participate in pre-ship testing
- Work in conjunction with other groups to organize and plan assigned projects
- Quoting of projects including customer visits, calls with customers, etc.
- Three or more years of relevant experience
- Autocad or other design tool experience desired.
- In depth knowledge of electrical engineering theory and machine control implementation
- Knowledge of electrical circuit design standards, packaging, and hardware design
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Domestic travel as required to perform job functions

BSEE or BSET
o Programmable logic controllers
o AC and DC motors and motor controllers (AC, Servo)
o PLC networks (Profibus, ProfiNet - preferred)
o Industrial networks (Ethernet, TCP/IP)
o Application of Digital and Analog I/O
o Power distribution systems (transformers, fusing, breakers, switch gear, conductor sizing)
Familiar with:
o electrical codes such as UL, NFPA, ANSI, NEC, CE, IEC
o centralized and distributed machine control architecture applications
