    Description

    Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital's Acute Adult Behavioral Health Center has two nursing units providing 24/7 care for adult and older adult patients with acute behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric disorders needing close supervision and intensive treatment.

    As a Registered Nurse, you will handle complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain management, and nutritional support.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct nursing care.
    • Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions.
    • Prepare patient care plans.
    • Administer prescribed medications.

    The ideal candidate:

    • Communicates effectively with patients and team members.
    • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
    • Uses critical thinking to solve patients' issues.
    • Offers emotional, spiritual, and psychological support.

    Education:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.

    Certifications:

    • Current state RN licensure.
    • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
    • ACLS certification in Critical Care areas.
    • PALS, ACLS, or other certifications based on department.

    Complexity of Work:

    • Requires critical thinking and the ability to work independently.
    • Must handle stressful situations effectively.

    Work Experience:

    • Minimum one year of acute care RN experience required.
    • Experience in specific settings may be required.
    • Military RN experience considered.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Full range of motion, including lifting and walking.
    • Ability to work under stress and irregular hours.
    • Exposure to diseases and body fluids.
    • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force.

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    • Follows standard precautions using PPE.
